Microsoft Teams Integration

Promptless integrates with Microsoft Teams through our official Teams app, enabling automated documentation updates based on team communication and collaboration within your Teams environment.

Prerequisites

To install Promptless in Microsoft Teams, you’ll need:

  • Microsoft Teams admin center access
  • Permissions to manage app setup policies in your organization
  • Ability to install and configure third-party apps

First, download the Promptless Teams app package from the Promptless integrations page:

Installation

Step 1: Download Promptless Teams App Package

First, download the Promptless Teams app package from the Promptless integrations page:

Step 2: Upload Promptless App

  1. Navigate to the Microsoft Teams admin center
  2. In the left navigation, under Teams apps, select Manage apps. This section allows you to control which apps are available to install for users in your organization
  3. Click the Actions > Upload new app button to upload the Promptless Teams app package
  4. Click Upload to proceed with the app installation

Step 3: Grant access to users in the organization

  1. In the left navigation, select Setup policies

  1. Select the Global (Org-wide default) policy
  2. Ensure that Upload custom apps and User pinning are enabled. These settings allow users to install and pin custom apps like Promptless.
  3. Under Installed apps, click on Add apps

Step 4: Add Promptless App

  1. After selecting Promptless, click Select to add it to your organization’s approved apps

  1. Verify that Promptless appears in your installed apps list. Now your organization’s users can interact directly with Promptless bot

Project Setup and Permissions

After installing the Teams app, you can configure new projects in the projects page to be set up to trigger from Microsoft Teams.

Support and Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues during installation or setup:

  1. Verify that your organization allows third-party app installations
  2. Ensure you have the necessary admin permissions in Teams admin center
  3. Check that app setup policies are configured correctly
